Hip Pain Composite

Hip pain is the general term used for pain that is felt in or around the hip joint. It is not always felt locally at the hip joint, it may be felt in the groin, thigh or buttocks region, making it difficult to diagnose. Modern technology has greatly assisted doctors and physical therapists with the diagnostic process over the past decade. It can be a complicated joint to assess but with the help of x-rays and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) they have been able to become a lot more exact with their diagnoses. Physical therapy can help individuals who are undergoing a total hip replacement, before and after surgery, making the recovery process much smoother.  Our physical therapists will work with your physician to help evaluate and treat your hip dysfunction and get you back to the activities that you love by using manual therapy, therapeutic modalities, and stretching/ strengthening exercises.
