Meet the Northwest PT Team!
Megan began working for Northwest Physical Therapy in 2009, and became President of the company in 2011. She has been a physical therapist for 19 years and has advanced training in orthopaedics and treatment of the spine. She has taught continuing education courses in treatment of the spine/manual therapy and worked as an adjunct in orthopaedics at two different Doctor of Physical Therapy programs.
When she isn’t in the clinic, Megan can be found spending time with her family or friends, camping, paddling, and often running, preferably on a trail in the mountains.

Rachael is most interested in treating stroke recovery.
In her free time, Rachael enjoys paddleboarding, swimming, and mountain biking.

Aaron strives to provide a holistic approach that addresses contributing mechanisms to optimize long-term outcomes for his patients. Evidence-based practice and patient-centered care are hallmarks of his approach to rehabilitative medicine. He has gone the extra mile to become a board certified orthopedic specialist for the benefit of his patients.
Aaron likes to spend his free time participating in recreational football and basketball leagues. He and his wife have a passion for traveling, preferably to warm destinations with nice, beautiful beaches.

Tawny joined Northwest Physical Therapy in August 2021 and has been working at RET Physical Therapy and Healthcare Specialists since 2012. She has been a physical therapist for 21 years and specializes in pelvic health physical therapy, as well as oncology rehabilitation. She is a certified lymphedema therapist through Klose training and consulting and a certified Pilates instructor through Pilates and Beyond. She graduated from Evidence In Motion’s (EIM) Executive Program in Private Practice Management. Tawny completed her post-professional Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Evidence In Motion Institutes of Health Professions in 2022. Tawny is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Washington Physical Therapy Association.
When she isn’t in the clinic, Tawny enjoys spending time with her husband and four-legged kids. She can be found running on the trail with her dogs, hiking, horseback riding, and gardening.
Kelly Sharkey earned her Associate of Science from Mount Hood Community College.
Kelly specializes in lymphedema care – pelvic stabilization and is most interested in treating lymphedema.
In her free time, Kelly enjoys camping and hiking with her two dogs and family, paper crafting, and church activities.

A proud Midwesterner at heart, Nicholas started moving west for school and adventure. While practicing in Portland, OR, he specialized in the assessment and treatment of runners and dancers. As a life-long learner, Nicholas uses a holistic, patient-centered, evidence-informed approach in empowering people to move without pain, whether that’s grueling miles on single-track or a stroll with the dog.
While using his sense of adventure to benefit others, Nicholas represented NWPT in 2018 on a trip to Haiti with STAND (Sustainable Therapy and New Development) to establish rehab services by treating and training local clinicians.
When not in the new Bellingham clinic, you can find him on ice skates or a yoga mat, climbing rocks or trails in the North Cascades with his loyal pup, Chomsky.

Ashley is a native Pacific Northwesterner and grew up on San Juan Island. She left her island home to go to school in McMinnville, Oregon, and then on to Mesa, Arizona, where she completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. After graduation, she lived in Seattle where she completed a two-year residency program in orthopaedics which culminated in a board-certified Orthopaedic Specialty. Fortunately for NWPT, she left the traffic and busy city to join us at our Sedro-Woolley office following this residency.
When Ashley is not in the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son., visiting family/friends, outdoors, cooking, traveling or playing with her cats.

Brielle is a Puget Sound native and after returning from Portland where she attained her doctoral degree, she joined the NWPT team in 2017. She immediately began to home in her manual therapy skills and completed her certification in manual therapy in 2019. She values lifelong learning and providing excellent evidence-based care. She is eager to pursue a second specialty certification in orthopedics. She enjoys working with a variety of clients, but her passion is adapting and training functional movement patterns to ensure success outside the clinic.
When she is not in the clinic, you can find Brielle roller skating with the Bellingham Roller Betties, gardening, camping, or hiking.

Kim is a native Midwesterner from Ohio. She moved out to Bellingham after graduating from Physical Therapy school and has settled here with her family. Kim is an active member of the Bellingham community, and has been practicing here for over 10 years. She is a great asset to our Bellingham clinic and serves both Men and Women with pelvic health dysfunctions.

Megan is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area in California and worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant for 15 years before moving to the Northwest in 2015 to be closer to family and attend graduate school. She is currently pursuing training as a pelvic health practitioner and has a special interest in helping women during and after pregnancy. Megan is very active with our Washington Physical Therapy Association (PTWA), currently serving as Chair of Communications and Public Relations, and is on the board of the Political Action Committee. She joined NWPT in July of 2019 and is very excited to serve her community in Skagit County!

Sean relocated to Western Washington in 2017 and joined the NWPT team. He is fluent in Spanish and effectively communicates with our Hispanic Population in the Skagit Valley. He was able to utilize these skills on a recent service trip to Nicaragua where he collaborated with physicians at the Center for Physical Health and provided services to local schools, nursing homes, and local clinics. We are happy to have his expertise to help serve the Skagit Valley at our Mt. Vernon office. When he is not treating patients, he may be out on the trails hiking, biking, or practicing yoga.
Stacy has been practicing physical therapy for nine years. She was born and raised in South Seattle and moved to the Skagit valley after she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Puget Sound. Prior to her career in Physical therapy, she was a professional snowboarder. After a few to many trips to physical therapy for her injuries, she decided to pursue a career in Physical Therapy so she could help others return to their passions.
She is happily married and is the mother of two amazing little boys. On her days off, she spends her time outside with her family enjoying all the fun activities the valley has to offer. From hiking, kayaking, snowboarding, and biking, she understands the importance of having an active and healthy lifestyle. She enjoys working with people of all ages and loves providing a fun, educational, and positive road to recovery.

Char has been a Physical Therapist Assistant with Northwest Physical Therapy since 2005. She enjoys exercising and is an artist, so she gives out pictures of the best home exercise programs around. Char also leads our PTA and pre- physical therapy students/volunteers, which she coordinates with the PTA program at Whatcom Community College and local Kinesiology programs such as the one at WWU.
When Char is not in the clinic, she may be found with her family, walking her dog, or knitting something fabulous.

Jeannine is a native of Washington state who received her B.S. in Psychology from WSU and then decided to focus on what she was most interested in and became a Physical Therapy Assistant. Jeannine has always been interested in staying active and living a healthy lifestyle. She has an innate love for running and enjoys participating in local races whether it be 5 miles or a 50k. From these experiences, she knows what it is like to be a patient in physical therapy and is passionate about getting her patients back to the level they need to be to reach their individual goals.
When she isn’t in the clinic, Jeannine may be found hiking the trails near Mt. Baker, fishing with her boyfriend, or playing with her two kitties, Hans Gruber & Cloverfield Jr.

Kevin grew up in Sedro-Woolley and has been with Northwest Physical Therapy since 2001. He started his career in the Mt. Vernon office, and in 2012 he happily joined the Sedro-Woolley crew in his home town. He became interested in physical therapy after tearing his ACL while playing football at Sedro-Woolley High School, and he learned empathy for patients after having to recover from his own sports injuries.
When Kevin is not in the clinic, he can be found spending time with his family, his three boys, working on his home, or hiking with his wife.

Nate Kipling has worked with NWPT for 11 years. He came to us after completing his bachelor degree and worked several years as a physical therapy aide and helping with company administrative work. He recently finished the physical therapy assistant program and now works with us as a therapist. Nate is a hard worker and always has been, whether he was working summers commercial fishing in Alaska, playing hard on the football field, or working in the clinic, he will now direct those efforts towards helping his patients achieve their goals. When Nate is not in the clinic, he may be competing in some recreational sport, camping, or playing his guitar.
Margret Lyons earned her Bachelor of Science with a focus in Nutrition/Dietetics from Bastyr University.
Margret specializes in dietetics and is most interested in helping people achieve a healthy lifestyle and allowing them to focus on being better, not perfect!
In her free time, Margret enjoys running, hiking/climbing, and gardening.

Chris is a recent transplant from Bay Area California, and has been doing massage professionally for the last 5 years. He is a specialist in Neuromuscular Therapy massage; basically, his focus is on rehabilitative, and recovery massage techniques. That means if you suffer from chronic pain, are post-surgery, acute injury, or just stressed out there is something he might be able to do for you. Most of his work can be described as “Hurts-so-good”, but don’t let that put you off, he is dedicated to finding the happy balance of therapeutic and relaxing massage for every patient.
When not working you can find Chris exploring this beautiful area with his fiancee, and learning about the wonders of the Pacific Northwest.
