Physical TherapistMichael grew up in Arizona where he graduated from the University of Arizona with his bachelor’s in molecular cellular biology before attending the University of Texas Medical Branch where he received his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). He worked as a traveling physical therapist for several years, moving up and down the west coast, before deciding to settle down in Washington.
Michael specializes in treating orthopedic conditions and enjoys working with all types of patients to achieve their goals and get their lives back.
During his free time, Michael enjoys the outdoors, live music, and hanging out with friends.

Physical Therapist AssistantKirsten is a Physical Therapist Assistant with interests in post-surgical intervention and athletics/return to sport. As a former Rhythmic Gymnast and Competitive Cheerleader, Kirsten sustained hip and back injuries requiring Physical Therapy, which first sparked her interest. She has been a Physical Therapist Assistant for several years, previously working in Arizona before returning home to Washington. Kirsten is very excited to be a part of the RET team in Kirkland and to help others achieve their goals by overcoming injury and chronic pain.
In her spare time, Kirsten enjoys Mountain Biking, Paddle Boarding, spending time with her family, and cheering on her Mississippi State Bulldogs and Seattle Seahawks!

Physical TherapistSebastian decided to become a physical therapist at a young age. He was an athlete that experienced recurring injuries and was no stranger to the guidance and care of physical therapy while growing up. PT is the perfect profession to combine his passion for helping others and his love of exercise and self-improvement.
He obtained his undergraduate degree from Oregon State University and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of South Florida.
In his practice, Sebastian strives to provide the highest quality treatment with the entire patient in mind. He enjoys treating all patient populations and has a specific affinity for treating knee and ankle injuries, as well as joint replacements.
During his free time, he enjoys surfing and weightlifting. He believes if he is going to train others, he should train and improve himself physically as well. He is also an avid perfumer.

Physical TherapistSydney has been practicing physical therapy for over eight years. She is passionate about treating patients at any level discover their true potential. Sydney’s specialty includes pelvic rehabilitation, treating pelvic floor dysfunction, pregnancy and postpartum care and other interconnected conditions of the pelvis, hip, and spine. She uses a variety of therapeutic exercise and manual therapy approaches to restore joint symmetry, posture, gait and pain-free movement in all levels of patients. She has a personal interest and professionally performs running gait analysis with slow motion video technology for all ages and abilities of clients. She has experience working with junior high and high school athletes, all ages of recreational as well as avid athletes looking to improve their running form and efficiency as well as recovery from soft tissue strains/ sprains, surgeries and prevention of overuse related injuries. Sydney continues to have a passion to continue to compete in both half and full Ironman triathlons and enjoys a large variety of outdoor activities including paddle boarding, hiking, sailing, food as medicine approach to eating and cooking, enjoys slowing down to perform weekly mindfulness progressive muscle relaxation work.

Physical TherapistJoseph (“Joe”) Rizza recently joined RET in October 2022, and is excited to now call the Pacific Northwest his home. Growing up, Joe was a cross country and track runner. He often found himself in need of sports rehab and those early experiences inspired him to become a physical therapist.
Joe obtained his Physical Therapy degree from Oklahoma University–Health Sciences Center, after attending Long Beach State University for his undergraduate studies. He spent most of his career in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he built his physical therapy practice. He also worked with the San Francisco Giants and Stanford University’s Athletic Department as a consultant.
Joe specializes in treating orthopedic and sports injuries. He works with patients of all ages and abilities, from youth sports to professional athletes. Using a variety of manual therapy and educational approaches, he helps patients restore mobility, strength, and function to maximize their potential.
In his free time, Joe enjoys playing baseball with the Puget Sound Senior Baseball League, skiing, hiking, and caring for his bees.
