I started PT after a car accident. The staff was extremely helpful not just with injuries from the accident, but also other issues that had been bothering me. They are very good at communicating problems and solutions and are friendly to boot. Can’t recommend enough.

Doug Free, the manager at Mercer Island Physical Therapy, has a PhD in PT, and is an amazing diagnostic doctor who explains why a specific injury occurred. He also does fabulous work on your body. His entire staff is knowledgeable and excellent therapists.
I saw Anne at 7 weeks post ulnar nerve transposition. I’ve made more progress in 1 week with her than I did in those first 7. She is extremely knowledgeable and up to date on current research. I’d feel very good about sending my family and friends her way!

Meet the Staff
Betsy graduated from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center with a bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences. She has experience with diabetes management, weight loss, cardiovascular disease management, clinical nutrition, and nutrition for fitness. Betsy offers a personalized approach to each patient and helps them conquer barriers to achieve their goals.
Alongside her passion for nutrition, Betsy enjoys traveling, hiking, and reading books.
Margret Lyons earned her Bachelor of Science with a focus in Nutrition/Dietetics from Bastyr University.
Margret specializes in dietetics and is most interested in helping people achieve a healthy lifestyle and allowing them to focus on being better, not perfect!
In her free time, Margret enjoys running, hiking/climbing, and gardening.
Born and raised in Washington State, Kris attended Central Washington University where he attained his undergraduate degree in Biology and also played collegiate football. As clinic director Kris believes physical therapy should be one-on-one care customized to fit each individual’s specific goals and needs. With his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, golfing, and snowboarding.

Justin is a new graduate who brings over two decades experience working in the fitness and wellness industry helping people meet their goals. He has worked with a variety of people throughout his career and during his DPT education including pediatrics with special needs, athletes, and adults of all fitness levels. No matter the population, Justin is most passionate about helping people return to the lifestyle and activities that are most important to them. Justin earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Fine Arts from Western Washington University in 2015 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Washington in 2019.

Ben is a Pacific Northwest native that grew up on the Kitsap Peninsula. He has lived in and enjoyed both Bellingham and Seattle. Ben Graduated from Green River Community College with an Associates Degree in Applied Science and became a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. He also received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Western Washington University. Ben is interested in working with all populations and is passionate about helping people live pain-free lives. He likes educating and collaborating with patient to reach their individualized goals. In his free time, Ben enjoys playing soccer, snowboarding, hiking, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family.
