I started PT after a car accident. The staff was extremely helpful not just with injuries from the accident, but also other issues that had been bothering me. They are very good at communicating problems and solutions and are friendly to boot. Can’t recommend enough.

Doug Free, the manager at Mercer Island Physical Therapy, has a PhD in PT, and is an amazing diagnostic doctor who explains why a specific injury occurred. He also does fabulous work on your body. His entire staff is knowledgeable and excellent therapists.
I saw Anne at 7 weeks post ulnar nerve transposition. I’ve made more progress in 1 week with her than I did in those first 7. She is extremely knowledgeable and up to date on current research. I’d feel very good about sending my family and friends her way!

Meet the Staff
Teresa Kuzmer has worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant since graduating from Green River Community College in 1979. For the past 18 years she has used her prior experience in the field to help develop work conditioning and work hardening programs that facilitate injured workers to reach their full potential. The Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy team work closely together, along with claim stakeholders, to provide an individualized program for a positive and successful return to the work force. Her expertise, compassion and energy are qualities that elevate the injured worker to reach personal wellness and retun to work goals. When she is not working, she stays busy teaching a total body conditioning class two days a week. Along with this, Teresa enjoys riding her bike, coaching soccer and enjoying her family. One of her favorite activities is spending time with her three grandsons playing sports, games, watching a movie or reading them a book.

Bethany is a licensed physical therapist and athletic trainer with a passion for sports physical therapy and return to sport rehabilitation for all athletes. She earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Bowling Green State University where she graduated Suma Cum Laude. She went on to earn her Doctorate from Cleveland State University. During this time, she worked as an athletic trainer for both Richmond Heights High School as well as the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) soccer team, AFC Cleveland. She was able to work for both entities throughout her graduate school career and was fortunate to be with AFC Cleveland when they won the NPSL national championship in 2016. Bethany finished her graduate school career working with the Atlanta Ballet, focusing on dance medicine, and performing artist rehabilitation.
She went on to complete a sports residency at MVP Physical Therapy to further her knowledge and skills set for treatment and prevention of injuries to be able to better assist athletes in functional return to sport and performance. Her professional interests include on-field medical management, concussion rehabilitation, dance medicine, and sports rehabilitation to the sports performance spectrum.
When she’s not working, Bethany enjoys working out, hiking, reading, and spending time with friends and family. Bethany is from Ohio and has one older brother. Without her family’s support, she would not be where she is today.
