“It took me about five years to finally admit that I needed to do something about my hip pain and lack of mobility. I finally went to a surgeon who told me I needed my hips replaced, but first I needed to strengthen my muscles surrounding the hips and lose weight. He prescribed physical and nutrition therapy. After the first visit, I was given a few easy exercises to do on my bed, and I was immediately impressed at how how big of a difference it made! I could move better and some movement (like a pivoting) stopped hurting so much. I got great information from the nutritionist and I started to lose weight. I knew that being in the water made exercise a lot easier and less painful, so I asked to start there. I was soon stronger, and I felt so much better; the rewards for my work were so great. The staff was so supportive and encouraging. My first hip surgery is coming up and thanks to Maya, my physical therapist, and Margret, my nutritionist, I am ready. Pounds lighter and much stronger. These guys improved the quality of my life so much, and I am grateful for that.”-Paula M.
“When I began feeling pain in my hip and upper leg, I hobbled around for several weeks waiting for things to get better... My wife urged me to seek a referral for physical therapy, which I later asked my doctor to provide... It wasn't more than four weeks at physical therapy before I began to feel real relief. I was able to stand without experiencing pain after only a few minutes and have been returning to my regular activities after months of dealing with being incapacitated by my pain. I thank the team at Lake Sammamish PT for their terrific help and look forward to hiking again this spring.”-Terry W.
“After my total hip replacement surgery I began my PT with RET Reaction Physical Therapy in Lake Stevens. When lying on my side I couldn’t raise my left leg an inch from my right leg! With the help of Kelcie, Kris, and the entire staff I’m doing great. I’m now going to the Team Fitness Gym to get in better health as well. Thanks to my PT, I get stronger every day! The entire team at RET was professional, knowledgeable, and fun to work with. Thanks for everything.”-Mike G.
