Barbara Curtis, PT
Barbara received her physical therapy degree from the University of Puget Sound in 1989. A former track athlete at the University of Washington prior to PT school, Barb became interested in PT as she was surrounded by collegiate athletes from many different sports recovering from injury.
Barb specializes in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic conditions and injuries, and enjoys working with a diverse population of patients of all ages and activity levels.
She is fascinated by the process of evaluating a patient and developing and implementing a comprehensive plan of care geared toward each individual’s functional goals.
Utilizing manual therapy, education, and exercise with a special emphasis on core stabilization and restoring muscle balance and optimal movement patterns, Barb strives to help each patient reach their highest level of function. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Physical Therapy Association of Washington. She is also ASTYM certified.
A Seattle area native and mother of two, Barb enjoys spending time with her family, as well as photography, music, theater, and going for walks and hikes. She loves to spend time outdoors, enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
