How to Create Healthy Habits

We all want our New Year’s resolutions to last longer than the month of January. It can be overwhelming to know where to start as we are juggling so much these days. Read below as we highlight four easy tips you can easily incorporate into your life today!
Meal Prep

Take advantage of your weekends and plan out meals for the week. Go to the store, buy all the ingredients, chop your vegetables and store them in a Tupperware in the fridge. Weekdays and nights are always going to be busy, but this way you can grab a healthy meal on the go.
Pack Your Water Bottle

Drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day is recommended and can help to keep you energized and feel full. Add a slice of lemon, lime or cucumber if you do not like it plain.
Look For Opportunities to Be Active
You don’t always need to make it the gym for it to “count as exercise.” Park farther away at work, take the stairs, go on a walk during your lunch break, and set a timer for every hour to stand up and stretch at your desk.
Eat Breakfast

It’s tempting to hit the snooze and grab a coffee as you head out the door. Make time to eat a healthy breakfast with some fruit and protein that will energize you for your day.
Research tells us that it takes 21 days for something to become a habit. Start slow and be intentional with these healthy habits and before you know it, they will be a natural part of your routine!
