Stop the Therapy Cap!


The Medicare Therapy Caps on Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology Services are coming back at the end of the year. The Medicare Therapy Cap will bar people from getting the rehabilitation services they need to live life to its fullest.

Our Mission is to bring awareness to the Medicare Therapy Caps and help make sure that they are repealed once and for all.  The therapy cap is opposed by both consumer and provider organizations at the national, state and local level. People with injuries, ailments and disabilities need access to rehabilitation services to improve their quality of life.  The therapy cap will

  • Join the Social Media Campaign
    • The Therapy Cap Coalition is again harnessing the power of social media to help bring awareness to Medicare Therapy Cap. We are asking anyone who has been impacted by the therapy cap to change their Facebook and Twitter profile pictures to the “Stop the Therapy Cap” image above.

  • Reach out to your Legislator
    • You can find your legislators twitter handle on their Congressional websites; Click here to find your Representative’s website and click here to find the websites for your Senators. Once you’ve changed your picture help spread the message by sharing Facebook posts or tweeting your legislator with one of the suggested prewritten messages below:
      • Only 30 days left to #StopTheTherapyCap! Support access to physical therapy by cosponsoring HR 713/S367!
      • Congress must act before December 31 to #StopTheTherapyCap!
      • Make sure patients have access to physical therapy in 2014, #StopTheTherapyCap TODAY!
