My name is April Roney, I am a Washington State Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant working for RET in Puyallup. I am originally from Dallas, Texas where I attended the University of Texas at Dallas and obtained a BS in Psychology. Following in the Health Care field footsteps of my mother and sister, I moved to Waco, Texas in 2008 in pursuit of my PTA degree. In May 2010 I graduated with honors from McLennan Community College, and moved to Washington to be with my husband who is currently a 1st Lieutenant in the Army here at Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM). My first job as a PTA was at Olympic Physical Therapy in Renton. Upon my husband’s redeployment we decided to move closer to JBLM allowing me to join the team here at RET in February where I work side by side with Eddie Brewer, PT. I spend most of my free time with my husband and step kids camping and trying to be outdoors as much as possible. I enjoy working out, zumba, participating in mud runs with my husband and friends, cooking, baking, and going to concerts and movies. I am so very blessed and grateful to work in a field that allows me to take a hands-on approach in helping people heal and participate in their rehabilitative success. There is no greater reward than to make difference in people’s lives and help make their goals attainable.
