Personal Information

Growing up in Washington I had the opportunity to attend and play football for one of Washington’s great colleges, Eastern Washington University.  I graduated Physical Therapy School in Florida at Nova Southeastern University and have since moved back to Washington, the place I consider home.  I am a proud father of a son and daughter and love spending my free time with my family and friends.

 Treatment Philosophy

When starting my career in Physical Therapy, my goal was to help people improve their lives through correction of movement dysfunction.  Today I am achieving that goal as a full time Physical Therapist.  Physical Therapy’s unique combination – science, art and the hands-on nature of the profession – is compelling and the most advantageous healing method for the patient.  I approach each physical ailment as a puzzle and believe it’s important to engage my patients, as well as their families, doctors and coaches in solving each puzzle with me.

I enjoy working together with my patients and rehab team to find effective solutions for their physical dysfunction, restoring their hope with a concise therapy plan, and explaining the pros and cons of various treatment options.  Our evaluation procedures help pinpoint what level of tissue is damaged or injured, and treatments are then modified specifically for that person and their individual needs.  During the rehabilitation process, changes occur due to our ongoing assessments that reveal the true source of the pain in each client.  Finding the unique source of pain in each individual is challenging, and yet rewarding, especially when our rehabilitation goals are met.

 Patient Education

Patient education is an essential component that I integrate into my treatment approach.  A faster more efficient recovery is the result of educating patients on their condition and how they can help themselves.  Physical Therapy is truly at an advantage compared to other medical providers; we are able to perform skilled treatments for the patient and also include the educational and empowerment aspects as well.

The educational aspects of Physical Therapy are particularly important to each patient’s recovery and rehabilitation success.
