I want to let you at MIPT know how much I
appreciate your care and professionalism in my treatments during my two knee
replacement recoveries.I very much have
enjoyed my time with all of you.
I had seen Doug a few years ago for a neck
problem, and knew after that that if I needed to have any other care I would
return. So, when the knee situation came
up I signed up for treatment with him again. After two rounds, I feel like I am now missing “home”.I will happily refer anyone I know to seek
help from your staff.I thank them for
their sunny dispositions and friendliness.
Yours Truly, Carole Tye – Mercer Island, WA
Sometime late in October of '06, I stumbled
(literally) into Mercer
IslandPhysical
Therapy, clumsily wielding crutches.I had been injured 3 months earlier by
stepping backwards off of a 2 story building and really screwing up both
of my feet. I had undergone one operation on the left and three on
the right and had spent July, August and September in bed and in a
wheelchair. Several medical staffers had indicated that I might never be
able to walk normally again.
I just completed therapy, and had my
graduation ceremony two days ago. We had cupcakes, party hats, and I
received an actual diploma. (I have it framed and hanging in my bedroom where I
can WALK, yes walk by it with pride).
I truly believe that if I had not had the
good fortune to hook up with MIPT that I would not be functioning at the level
that I currently am. I've been back to work now for a little over a
month. I can walk with only a slight limp, can go up and down stairs like
a somewhat normal person, and can even almost keep up with my two very active
grandchildren. (I wasn't expecting miracles. I couldn't keep up before
the accident.) Plus, I'm getting stronger every day.
I would like very much to express my
deepest appreciation, admiration and thanks to the entire staff.I actually had a good time doing all the
tortuous exercises and procedures, and somewhere along the line developed a friendship
with all of them that I hope lasts forever.
So thanks again to all involved, you are
all truly professional, knowledgeable, dedicated and caring individuals, and I
owe my 'quality of life' to all of you.
Sincerely and
with huge gratitude – Bruce
Robinson, Snoqualmie WA
